Effective prevention of nosocomial infections acquired in hospitals, requires a new generation of keyboards with stringent hygienic properties. This requirement results in a new generation of keyboards designed specifically for medical environments.
Computers in hospitals have many users, so there is a great facility that bacteria found on computer systems from spreading among hospital professionals and patients, in addition, some of these bacteria become highly resistant and are very dangerous, such as MRSA. Approximately 95% of the keyboards in critical areas (operating room or ICU) are tainted by some of these bacteria. Many of these bacteria can survive 24 hours on keyboards.
Medigenic hygienic keyboard has all the features to avoid cross contamination without losing ease of use.
1. Compliance toilet keyboard has an LED that alerts you when to disinfect the keyboard.
2. The user then presses a button to lock the keypad.
3. Later you can clean and disinfect the keyboard with disinfectants in the hospital area. The silicone surface makes cleaning and disinfection.
4. A precision sensor and two moisture sensors recognize when to clean the keyboard.
5. The LED turns off.
6. Pressing the key for the lock can use the keyboard again.
Using this system, ensuring continuous cleaning of all the keyboards that are direct or indirect contact with hospital staff and patients, while avoiding cross-infection.
